First Home Owner Grant to double for buyers in Regional Victoria
If you’re a first home buyer and you’ve been thinking about building a new home in Regional Victoria, then you’re in luck.
Following a recent announcement from Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, from 1 July 2017, the First Home Owners Grant will double from $10,000 to $20,000 for first home buyers who purchase a new home up to a value of $750,000 in Regional Victoria. The grant essentially works as extra cash which can be added directly to your deposit.
In other changes also due to come into effect on 1 July 2017, first home buyers who purchase a new property for less than $600,000 could also be eligible for an exemption from stamp duty charges, which could leave up to an additional $15,535 in your pocket.
With more affordable property prices and so many lifestyle benefits on offer, it’s no wonder so many Victorians are choosing to build in Regional Victoria. These changes will make it even easier for first home buyers to break into the property market, and at a time when so many are finding it harder than ever to purchase their own home.
It’s easy to make the most of these incentives by purchasing a Dennis Family Homes fixed price house and land package, where you can get a brand new, stylish and spacious home built to match your personal tastes and preferences.
With contemporary home designs and access to a range of excellent land options, we’re sure to have a package that’s perfectly suited to your family.
